Pacific Edge Hotel on Laguna Beach: Accolades Great location! On the beach with a quick walk to downtown. I stayed in a clean, comfortable studio with a fireplace and full kitchen. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is across the street from a grocery story and walking distance to many excellent restaurants. And the salt water taffy in the lobby is to die for...
After over 25 years we continue to return to this hotel because of the staff, location and view. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We tried other hotels on the water but they cannot beat the entire package this hotel consistently offers. It will always be our first choice when visiting Laguna.
I stayed here a year ago. All was aok then, and it's even more aok now. I am particularly impressed with the front desk staff - knowledgable, efficient and friendly. This was my second three week plus stay here. I was not disappointed in any way.
The hotel is newly renovated, beachy modern, and right on the water, walking distance to downtown shops, galleries, and restaurant. Eric the GM is friendly and Javid at the front desk will answer all your questions with a smile. We had an ocean view room, and the price was lower than most ocean front properties. Booking online you nevr know what you'll get utnil you see it, but we lucked out, receomnd it for get-a-way weekends and would definalty go back.
It was our first time visting Laguna Beach. Everything was GREAT! The grounds were clean, the staff was extremley friendly. On our last day there, the power went out in our room.When I called to report it they were there in two minutes and fixed the problem,also the water didn't get very warm I would almost call it luke warm water, nothing that would stop me from returning. I would definitley return again,and again.
We just came back and found the hotel to be comfortable and accommodating to our needs. The staff was friendly and the front desk was very helpful, I would recommend anybody staying in Laguna to stay at this hotel.
We stayed in oceanfront room, great views, right on the beach. Staff, is wonderful !!!!! Value priced 179.00 ,or you can pay, as little as 89.00, with no view, a little older, but,
very clean. pools and hot tubs, clean &warm.BeachHouse Resturant, next door, the best. If, you, want four seasons, this is not it. But, if, you, want, beach & a place, great for everyone. This is it. !!!! Also, easy walking anywhere in town & best little coffee place & Ralphs, right there. We will be back soon !!!!
The hotel is very nice - rooms are clean but not too elaborate.
we had an oceanview which was amazing. we could hear the waves crashing all night which was very nice. its within walking distance to anything you really wanna do in laguna. the beach is literally at your feet...and has amazing views. the front desk was very helpful and courteous. I would recommend and go back to this place...wish I was there today!!!
At the last minute I decided to take my 14 year old daughter and her friend away for the weekend. A good friend of mine had been coming here every summer with her family until recently. Her kids are older now and doing their own thing...So, it came highly recommended.
When we arrived, we were offered a chance to upgrade for an additional $100.00 which I declined, thinking not having an ocean view room wouldn't make or break our weekend. However, the room they initially put us in was directly over the lobby and facing the street. They have music coming from the lobby which we could clearly hear in our room and was distracting to say the least. The room wasn't too bad and we could see the ocean, but we could also see the rooftops of the building in front of us. The girls talked me into the upgrade. What the heck, it was only $100.00 and the room was significantly nicer. The view SPECTACULAR! I could sit on the balcony and watch my girls on the beach. There is a nice rec area which the girls made full use of. There was also apparently some cute boys about their age, that they are still talking about...but that's another story.
We loved it and would love to come back around August, hopefully with my whole family this time!
I read all the reviews, good and bad. But I took a chance and I'm glad I did. After reading all the reviews it looked like only decent rooms are only ocean front. So I booked an ocean front and I'm glad I did. Our balcony was right on the water. The room was clean, very comfortable king size bed with very clean sheets and comforter. furnishing is nice. The only thing is that the bath room, sink, tub need a renovation. They are old but not dirty. Private beach was great and just a few second from our room to walk to the beach. Another great plus is that it is only a 5 min walk to downtown Laguna beach, for great restaurants. You can also take a walk on the beach to downdown that take about 15 min. The sunrise and sunsets are unforgetabel, and falling sleep with the sound of the waves very relaxing. Every other hotel with beach access and near downtown are around $400/night per night. So for the price you can't get a better deal. We will defenity come back. Perfect for families with kids. No need to drive anywhere unless you are going out of town. |
